SAN DIEGO STATE 2021 RESULTS THREAD

@Gumbymom My daughter was accepted to nursing with these stats:
CSU GPA: 4.25
ACT: 30
SAT: Math 660 Critical Reading 660

@rjm232 that gives me a bit of hope. I’m worried that his grades may be too low. Does admission re-calculate all self reported grades based on transcript @Gumbymom? I’m hoping they do.

@happychick1: Congratulations to your daughter and Good luck. SDSU is a great school…

@Gumbymom My stats were posted in an earlier post, but for convenience sake:
Nursing
4.04
1320

@ulcahopeful: Thanks for the info. I was about to do a search since I had seen your previous posts. You made it easy for me.

@Gumbymom Am I officially rejected based off the patterns from previous years? Can I appeal it?

@Gumbymom What do you know about the nursing program at UC Irvine compared to the one at SDSU? Any info you can share? Thank you so much!

@preatc114 i also have not heard about pre-athletic training yet

@Nurse2017: Until you get a rejection in your portal, you are still in the running.

This is what SDSU states about appeals:
If you were denied admission, or if you missed an admissions deadline, it is unlikely that our decision will be reversed on appeal. The appeals process is only for applicants who have a serious and compelling reason that they feel the committee should consider.

http://arweb.sdsu.edu/es/admissions/appeals.html

Do you have a compelling reason for an appeal??? With around a 7% acceptance rate, anyone’s chances are low… It is not a reflection on you just too many applicants for too few spots.

@Nurse2017 mine is still pending. Im a transfer student so it might be different for me

@Gumbymom Personal hardship. Does that count

@Nurse017: Transfer applicants are reviewed differently than Freshman so the EI’s will not pertain to your situation. Transfer students usually hear later in March and early April, so I would sit tight since it may be a while. Personal hardship will count as a compelling reason, so yes if you are rejected you could try appealing.
