SAN DIEGO STATE 2021 RESULTS THREAD

I am excited for fall 2017! I hope the Nursing Learning Community ends up in Cuicacalli! :smiley: By any chance, do any of you guys know what ā€˜Initial College Transcripts: (include grades through fall) Deadline to Submit: May 01, 2017 Institution ADVANCED PLACEMENTā€™ means? I saw it on the SDSU portal. I do not think it applies to me as I have not taken any community college courses, so does this mean, I can safely ignore this and Final College Transcripts?

@CaliforniaSoul @liquidsugar

we had the same question: AP Test will only happen in May so what result is to be submitted before May 1?

@tintinhope i sent in the scores from the AP exams i took sophomore and junior year!

Very sad & disappointed because SDSU is the only university I can go to. Iā€™m hoping I can get in through the waitlist. Could I do an appeal if I get denied through the waitlist as well? I have one D on my transcript so I feel like my chances are very low.

@watgirl Iā€™m in the exact same boat as you, Iā€™ve looked into appealing off the waitlist but I was recommended to stay on. After May 1st, they accept off the waitlist before appeals so youā€™ll have better luck if you choose to stay on.

@watgirl: I posted this on the waitlist thread also

You can appeal while you are on the waitlist, but I think once you are rejected off the waitlist, they have reviewed by application as thoroughly as possible so I seriously doubt your appeal would be considered. The appeals that actually are valid usually have to do with a mistake made by SDSU in evaluating your application. Rarely some new and compelling information can help, but if you are appealing because you want to go to SDSU, you have gotten some recent awards or have good grades Senior year, it will it not help.

@Gumbymom my grades died down by the end of junior year because of my auntā€™s deteriorating health (& eventually death). She was my role model and mentor so I kind of went into hopeless mode when that happened. Would that be appeal ā€œworthy?ā€ I asked a school rep from SDSU about appeals, but he said it should be done after rejection from the waitlist.

@sossenior being on the waitlist is so nerve-racking but Iā€™m definitely staying on it. SDSU is my only choice, or community.
