***San Diego State Class of 2020 Decisions Thread***

@Gumbymom: My D is pending for nursing. Stats are CSU GPA 4.0, ACT 29, EI 1090

Nursing admits are notorious being the last posted, late February to early March (at least historically for the last 3 years), although I have seen one post today.

Thanks @Gumbymom! The waiting is awful. She’s already been accepted to a few OOS programs but would love to stay closer to home. Nursing is such a competitive program.

Please post on the on-going decision thread. Also please post SAT breakdown (SAT Math + CR) for statistical purposes.

Thank you and congratulations to your daughter.

Just want to put this out there, but i was just wondering if I have a solid chance at being admitted if I have an ACT score of 27 and a weighted CSU GPA of 3.5, with a major in biology?

@soccerpierce28: Are you local? What is your eligibility index (EI)?

I am about an hour away from the campus. I believe my EI is 970 for my ACT

@soccerpierce28: Biology is the most applied major with over 6000 applicants last year and an acceptance rate of around 33%. I would say based on your EI, that it could go either way 50/50 chance. I wish you good luck and hope you see an acceptance soon.

@Gumbymom if biology was 33% do u happen to know what it was for kinesiology last year?

Daughter accepted today
Nursing major
GPA 3.75 (W)

@Whitelightninggq: Acceptance rate for last year was around 38% for Kinesiology.

Daughter got accepted today
Nursing Major
CSU GPA 3.75
ACT 32
SAT 1380 (CR +M)
EI 4380/1070
Over the moon excited for her!
Good luck to everyone!!

@Gumbymom thank you

@gumbymom my son has a 3.53 GPA but 3.7 with college classes and a 30 ACT with an eligibility index of about 1030. What do you think his chances are for sustainability major? Thanks

I applied for Nursing with an EL of 4498 and have not heard back…Should I be concerned? I recently got accepted to Cal Poly SLO for Nutrition, but SDSU is my number 1.

I was admitted for biology. I am a white female. These are estimates bc I dont remember:
3.5 GPA
1390 SAT
2 Honors and 5 AP classes

@byemvhs when were u admitted and is that sat out of 1600?

Kind of off topic, but does anyone have any insight to a comparison between sdsu and cal poly business schools? I have heard people praise slo’s as being great, but haven’t really heard much about sdsu.

@Whitelightninggq
I found out on the 23rd
And yes it’s only math and reading lol

Accepted as nursing sometime today!
4.11 gpa I think and 35 on ACT
In state resident
Congrats everyone :slight_smile:
