General Comments/Additional Information:
Happy I heard back so soon
@chubii Sound relieving (at least for now). A couple of my friends got admitted the past two weeks, but they were mainly political/math majors.
Have there been any bio majors accepted?
Hi quick question for those who have already filled out scholarships on the SDSU website! When it says overall cumulative GPA do we put our unweighted or our CSU GPA? Please let me know thank you!
Hey I have a question for transfer students⊠Have any of you filled out the supplemental application ? they say it will be posted on the portal january 1 to january 25 but nothing is showing up in my portal ? should I call them ?
@StilesStyles - Not a transfer student, but an alum and parent of a current AztecâŠAlways call the school for these types of questions. They will be able to assist you, and if there is an issue with your portal, they can work with you to fix it. When you call, you will be on hold for a while so make sure you have a book to read or a game to play.
@mnrwa778 - If you donât receive a reply to your question, please contact the Financial Aid & Scholarship office directly. They were very helpful when my child was a high school senior. http://go.sdsu.edu/student_affairs/financialaid/contactus.aspx
Here are videos for those with financial aid & scholarship questions:

@Fish125 okay I will give them a call then thank you for the info !
Question: does anyone know about how good SDSU is when it comes to scholarships & careers/internship opportunities?
http://go.sdsu.edu/student_affairs/career/internshipcentral.aspx
http://go.sdsu.edu/student_affairs/financialaid/scholarships.aspx
@Gumbymom does sdsu automatically give out academic scholarships? I received a renewable $14k from ASU without applying for it and was wondering if SDSU did anything similar based just on high school grades? I couldnât really find an answer from the link you gave
I am not aware of any automatic scholarships since CSUâs mainly give need based aid, not merit aid. You need to apply for their merit scholarships linked on the above post.
Hello, I was just hoping to get an extra opinion on my admission chances.
I have a CSU GPA of 3.5, an ACT score of 27, and extra-curriculars including Rotary Club officer, Varsity Track and Field Captain, choir, and I am a clinical Intern at Palomar Medical Center. My senior courses include: Ap Environmental, Ap Calc BC, ERWC, Choir, Anatomy & Physiology, and other graduation required courses. I understand that my GPA is low, however I started of freshman year with 2.3-2.5 and have jumped to a 4.1 since then so hopefully they will see my upward progression? I applied for a major in biological science.
@soccerpierce28: Your EI is 970 which is just below the 1000 threshold for most competitive majors. I would say a High Match 50/50 chance. Good Luck and an upward grade trend is definitely helpful.
@Gumbymom Would my clinical internship impact my chance of admission at all? It is moderately competitive to get in and it is completely hands-on patient care.
