Hi, I got into the Nursing Program at SDSU. I was wondering if it’s possible to have admissions rescinded if I possibly get a C in AP Chemistry this semester? I took College Prep Chemistry in my sophomore year and got B and above. I simply don’t know if they care about my AP Chem grade because I read that for the School of Nursing, you need to get a B and above for biology and chemistry, but I already took regular chem, so I’m not sure if getting a C in my second year of chemistry will matter. I’m whipping my bum out of the senioritis and I’m going to do my very best to maintain at least a B in AP Chem.
Also, I have this weird thought that I was perhaps accidentally accepted into the Nursing Program like when some colleges accidentally send 200 acceptances out haha. Especially since I saw in other threads that other applicants who have higher EIs got rejected/waitlisted.
Thanks! And I hope to see some of you at the SDSU Open House tomorrow!
@regularperson i think you’ll be fine as long as you avoid any Ds or Fs. if you have all A’s but one C it shouldn’t matter too much! btw i also have the same paranoia hahaha i still can’t believe i made it!
@regularperson: SDSU states on their website you need to pass all the a-g courses taken your Senior year with a C or higher. There is no distinction between admitted Nursing students and the other admitted students. Do your best and you should be fine.
Thank you for your replies! I don’t think I’ll get an A in AP Lit and AP Chem, but I do have a chance in AP Econ. All my other classes should be fine though.
I noticed on my portal that it says ‘High School Transcripts: Deadline to Submit: May 01, 2017.’ Does this mean they want my fall semester transcripts to be submitted?
Hi there, my daughter is applying to San Diego state for the fall and wants to major in nursing, I see how hard it is to actually get into the program, can I ask what your gpa & sat scores were to get in
She does very well in school but didn’t have a super high sat score
