***san jose state 2022 admissions thread***

if portal still says decision pending does it mean rejection?

@sravya107 No, it just means they haven’t decided on your admission yet  If you were rejected, it would say rejected

your abit late it already did and might be too late for you

rejection comes in the end if you did not pass your last semester class…right now it is not a promise if your in or not…you have to verify with your transcripts in the end in july.

Dont be a racist

that major was an easy to get in it was like 2.0 impaction not a sweat comes in finding a job after graduation,.

its not a guarantee until you pass your last semester and send in your transcripts and do the other procedures…if you fail to do the other procedures then your application will be with drawn…and your not accepted.

Reapply next year bud that is all…

if your not csu eligible then you will not get in …in your appeal there must be new information…and if there is none good luck…your done…nothing will happen.

Accepted too!
Major: Political Science  Anyone else?

@Rollercoasterkid2000 your will not be successful in the appeal if there is no new information and if you did qualify …than you must meet with your counselor…dont go with gut instict…you must follow the rules and procedures…i think you will not be successful at all.

So I applied to CS first choice and econ for second. My EI is around a 4200. If I exceed the EI for my secondary major but not my first, am I at least guaranteed admission to econ?

@Meap433 once all the acceptances are sent, sjsu will look at which majors still have additional enrollment capacity to admit alternate majors.

This website will tell you which majors have room for additional enrollment once they update it
http://www.sjsu.edu/admissions/impaction/impactionresultsfreshmen/

Last year, there was no additional enrollment capacity for Economics.

radio and television an easy major to get in no a biggie.

I hope every one does not get upset once they graduate and cant find a job. the most important degrees are in business, engineering, and health care…we live in the bay area.

@mariotagle Please stop being negative. What other people apply for does not concern you. People can apply for what interests them, and it isn’t always about finding a job right after college.

got in for pre nursing

San jose is very expensive I think looking at 3000 of rent for a house every month. would matter or minimum wage going up to 15 dollars an hour does count in carrer choosing in my opinion…in the end the loan a person pays back is about 27000 to 30000 dollars …in debt.

@mariotagle you can find multiple housemates to help you pay the rent

does it still say decision pending for any one else?
