Santa Clara University College of Arts and Sciences or U. of Washington

Alright so I've been accepted to SCU and I have an amazing scholarship to go there. I also really enjoy the school as well as the surrounding area. However,I was accepted into the arts and sciences program. At this point in my life I feel like I would like to study business, but as stated I was not accepted into their business school. Though their college of arts and sciences program offers an economic class I was wondering if it would make a difference graduating from the business school with a degree in economics or graduating from the college of arts and science with an economics degree, and I was also wondering if graduating from one of these schools or the other would effect my chances at getting a job later on.

My second option is going to U of Washington which is a much larger campus and overall is a school I feel a tiny less comfortable at. However, I was in fact accepted into their business school.

So basically my questions are as follows

Difference and effect of graduation with an econ degree from leavey school of business or college arts and science? (SCU)

Effect graduating from one school or the other will have on my job prospects (SCU)?

-Should I try to transfer into the business school if I attend SCU despite it being difficult to do so?

Or perhaps should I put all my cards on the table and go to University of Washington to pursue business even though there is a chance I might not enjoy the financial and business field?

Any insight you have is much appreciated. I sincerely thank you for your advice.

Did you apply to Leavey at SCU? If not I would suggest calling admissions letting them know you want the business school. I have known students successfully changing colleges within a university before enrolling. Hopefully your scholarship is not tied to the College of Arts and Sciences. Good luck to you!

You will enjoy your time at SCU much more than at UW.
