Sap appeal

Unfortunatly I did not meet my school sap requirement for the semester of fall 12. I filled a appeal to see if I could get financial aid reinsteaded. During my freshman year I had trouble adjusting to the teach style in college vs hs. On top of the 3 unfortunate evens happend in my family the first was the development of a strange lump on mother chest the first diagnosis was possible cancer this news made it difficult to concentrate in school fortunately after going to a specialist we found out the it was some strange infection. The next event was my dad getting injured at work by a metal rod that piercing his hand and damaging a nerve. He recived therapy for it and is well now but during the time he was injured I had to help out more than usual make it harder to study. The last event is the news that my father is diabetic and that we need to do a drastic life style change to get it under control. With all of this plus the adjustment problem do you think my appeal be granted ? My family is low income 30k and if I don't get finnicial aid it doesn't seem likely that I could continue studying. I already meet with a academic conseler and made a plan for next semester if my appeal is granted and I have attached medical records to verfy these events do given all this information what do u think do have a good chance ? Thank you for your time

In your appeal, did you state that now the situation is under control and you are now adjusted to the new teaching style and will not be distracted by family problems?

Yes I did and I include the academic plan that me and my consular have set out

Gettingthrought,

I don’t want to offend you, but did anyone proof-read your appeal letter? Your posts contains many grammatical errors, and if you made those in your appeal letter then it has a high chance it will be unsuccessful. I am not a native speaker, but even I can clearly see very obvious errors in your posts.

Otherwise, if you kept the letter brief and outlined what you are going to do different and how your situation changed, then you appeal letter is good. Whether or not it will work mostly depends on college, but at this point you have done everything you could.

Yes the letter was proff read sorry for the mistakes I’m using my phone and just did a quick reply
