SAP Termination Appeal Help!

I was terminated from financial aid for this next year because I did not pass the required amount of units. I am hoping that some of you can help me to write the best appeal I can as well as give me advice as to how I can prevent this from happening in the future in addition to what I have already. Please be as critical as you can. Thank you for your time for reading my appeal and helping me out.

Dear Appeal Board,

My name is , I am writing this letter with regards to my financial aid termination for my 2013-2014 school year at __. I did not make Satisfactory Academic Progress last year because of academic overload, a difficult work schedule, and financial hardship in my family.

I foolishly started my first two years at _____ taking general education courses leaving me now with mostly core civil engineering courses, which are overwhelmingly difficult. I took five classes thinking that I would be able to handle it, but they ended up being too much for me. This year I also started working a tutoring job so that I could try to help out my parents with money. This left me working early in the morning until around noon, then rushing to school in order to make it on time to class and being in class until night time. The schedule was very overwhelming and I struggled through the year thinking that I could get my studies done and help my parents at the same time. I usually do not get this bad of grades, but because of my poor time management skills with the job, I struggled through the year.

With my current situation, I strive for a better future for myself and for my parents. I want to show them that I will be able to support them and my future family, rather than struggling as how we are now. This being my inspiration, I know I will be able to get better grades next semester and through the rest of my college years.

For this next semester, I have already resigned from my job in order to make time for my studies. Also, I have talked to an advisor who has told me to take fewer units and apply myself more to these classes if possible. I was also advised to see my teacher during his or her office hours if I need any kinds of help with the course, which I will also do. I will pay my utmost attention when attending class in order to understand as much material as I can. I will put more time into studies while I am at home and during weekends to guarantee the passing of all of my classes. Taking these steps, I am genuinely sure that I will be able to pass all of my classes for my remaining two years.

Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal.
