Sarah Palin - Stupidest VP decision ever?

btw.

"mccain just suicided his campaign by choosing palin. Obama's going to win the election hands down."

go check the polls. after obama picked biden, he went DOWN 2 points the following day. 2 hours ago, polls showed mccain up a total of 8 points. he was previously up 5, meaning supporters like his choice.

you'd have to be stupid to think obama would lead, let alone "win the election hands down". lmao

btw 2.

mccain - romney wouldn't have worked. the GOP used the whole obama v. clinton during the primaries as bad media against his bid, so choosing romney would've been asking for the same thing.

Talk_about, Obama was up 49-41 in the latest poll. As it turns out, 49 is a greater number than 41(that 8 point difference you were talking about, just the other way). Get your facts straight.

hahahaha wow, check again honey.

Excuse me.

2008 Polls - Presidential Election, Latest Political - Democratic Candidate Poll - Tracking Current

"The national tracking polls have Obama up by an average of 6%. Gallup has him up 8% while Rasmussen Reports has him up 4%. "

This data is from August 29th.

Six percent, not eight. Obama's winning the national polls(although this doesn't really matter in the end).

This election is over. McCain exhibited clear unintelligence and predijuice in his choice, and now because of his actions he finally united the Democratic Party against him, and has scared away the independents who are now so afraid that if McCain suffers from old age during his presidency, that a Neoconservative beacon of the radical religious right will take power.

He made the conservatives happy though. Too bad independents and liberals now are against him

Bristol- HQ of ESPN in CT. Home of Palins dream job
Willow- lesbian witch character on Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Piper- name of witch character on TVs Charmed
Van Palin- homage to David Lee Roth and the boys.

If it werent so scary/reckless it would be funny. No way Hollywood could come up with something any funnier. Bin Laden came unplugged from his dialisis machine from laughing so hard. and I'm sure Putin will be really intimidated by Miss Congeneality. I think McCain has really lost it. This election is over.

I smell another Monica Lewinski-Bill Clinton scheme..... or issue... LOL

If the election is over, then the poll numbers will show it.

And THERE HAVE BEEN NO POLLS SO FAR CONDUCTED ON THE 29TH. READ THE WEBSITES. THE DATA IS FROM THE 26TH THROUGH THE 28TH.

Please don't post stuff that you haven't looked at.

palin's considered a reformer of the republican party. she's going to bring over thousands of voters that were on the fence. plus, she's a women. obama has already ****ed off millions of women by not picking clinton as his VP. it was a smack in the face, for women and for her top donators. picking palin will bring over several millions votes our way.

This is why people should not watch the MSM. Women do not vote on the basis of v*****. The pundits only want you to think they do. PUMA is a fray of Operation Chaos left over in disguise. The leader of PUMA donated to McCAIN and McCAIN ONLY. NEVER donated to Hillary. PUMA is a media-inflated crock of baloney.

I'm not falling for it.

And like I said before, Palin is Dick Cheney with a pretty face and a v*****.

I really disagree with you guys...I think Palin was a wise choice for McCain. She's a breath of fresh air for McCain's campaign. I'm personally not a McCain supporter, but I thought he made a good choice for VP running mate...

ROFLMAO!!!

I totally agree! hehehe McCain must be showing his senile and deperate side. I mean he only met with her like once before. His rash actions are only handing Obama and Biden the white house! Go Obama!!!

I can't wait to see Palin and Biden debate!!!

I think McCain made a good choice. She is sharp and likeable (because of her background).

I think I must've LOL'd multiple times in this thread.

I disagree with the majority of this thread. Palin is quite possibly the best choice for VP. 1) She's from the west -Idaho and Alaska. Do not underestimate the effect of that on western voters. 2)She is the only person on either of the tickets to have EXECUTIVE experience. 3) How is Obama going to attack her? Inexperienced? An outsider? Someone who hasn't been in Washington? Oh crap, that's right. That's everything Obama has been calling for! First he dorked it up by choosing Biden, who's been in DC longer than Mccain. Then McCain sealed the deal by choosing Palin- exactly what Obama has been calling for. 3) She has five children. This is something I believe is more important than anyone thinks. Now McCain can have kids on stage at rallies.

And of course, the announcement of a blackhorse Veep could not have been mentioned at a better time. How much has Obama's speech been talked about the past two days?

Oh, and Palin will grind Biden into the ground. Especially if he tries to come off as a 'regular joe'. He wishes.

I appreciate college confidential for the many insights it has provided in helping my daughter search for a school. It is a great place to come for COLLEGE INFORMATION.

Unfortunately, this thread is a political thread and has nothing to do with colleges, college choices, essay writing, specific majors, etc. In short, it does not belong on college confidential.

Your initial reaction may be to tell me to stick it in my ear or to mind my own business, but if cc is to be a strong resource for college applicants and their parents, the threads should stick to college related topics as often as possible.

There are a whole host of political chat rooms and blogs - Democrat, Republican and other. This discussion belongs there not here.

Thanks for reading.

You're kidding, right? Sarah Palin vs. Joe Biden in a debate? He's going to turn her into mincemeat and come off as congenial and amusing while he's doing it. I can't wait to hear her attempt to debate foreign policy issues, let alone the domestic agenda. It's no contest. This will be the most entertaining vice presidential debate since Bentsen-Quayle.

I love Biden, as do many, many people. Remember that smile when Obama mentioned him during his speech? Priceless.

Palin, on the other hand.. Wow. I'm a male, and all for a woman leader, but he is doing a disservice to women everywhere by choosing so poorly. There are many women more capable of the VP spot than Palin.
