SAT: 1980, 3.4/4.0, lots of EC's... am I in?

I'm an out of state student, have taken a very rigorous academic schedule all 4 years including 8 APs.... 2 sport athlete, Class President for 3 years, member of multiple clubs including engineering club

SAT: 1980, Math 730, CR 630, W 620
GPA: 3.4 UW / 4.0 W (a little low i know :( )

think i'll get in? i plan on filling my application out in a few weeks

My guess is that you will get admitted, particularly if you apply early. Good luck!

I think you’ll get in, but honors college with those stats probably not.

We are in-state and my daughter had similar stats - a 3.4 gpa (high school did not weight for the many honors classes she had taken) She took 4 AP courses and had a 2000 SAT score. She had many EC, including being the captain of two varsity sport teams.

She applied in June to the College of Art and Science and received a letter in October telling her to send her first semester senior grades. She made a 4.0 her first semester and sent her grades. She was then admitted for SPRING admission and put on the wait list for fall. She was not admitted for fall.

She contemplated waiting until January to attend Pitt, but in the end, chose another college.

Good luck to you!

The best thing you can do is apply early. Your stats are only slightly lower than mine were, but I applied early and got my acceptance letter in a couple weeks. Writing a solid essay won’t hurt, either.

Oh, also, you have a ton more extra-curriculars than I did. So that’s going to help.

You’ll be fine.

I had an UW GPA of a 3.158 and a 29 on my ACTs and I was accepted.

Apply early and you should be in.

You are in but its tough to say if you’ll be accepted into one of their direct undergraduate and graduate program tracks like Pharmacy, Medicine, Law, and Business.
