**SAT 2 Math II Discussion Thread Oct 2015**

What’d everyone get for the one where it was about n= 3 same prime numbers and one other prime number. I put 16, or E.

@soporificpeafowl I put 10, not sure though because 1/(100+2) was pretty close to 0.01. Kinda rushed that one

@SAThatesme @Pulsatix what were the answer choices to the 18.12 question

@azhang40 It was 8 i think because its factorized to XY^3 and if you use the factor formula (add 1 to each exponent and multiply) you get 2*4=8

What do you guys think the curve will be for this?

@soporificpeafowl I also put 10

@azhang40 I think I said 8 for that one

I put 8 for that one since I tryed it with 2223 and 2227 and got 8.

@jewlsfi there were some insane answer choices then D) 18 and E) 19

what did you guys put for the repriocal question with x^2

@azhang40 The prime number one was D (8). Because x = p1 ^3 * p2 ^ 1 --> raise powers multiply --> 8. And for the .01 one it was 10

@therealdeal23 It was equal to 1. I think answer choice C?

@therealdeal23 I said 1… I kinda rushed that one so not sure though

@azhang40 Pretty sure 8 was the correct answer.

My reasoning was something like n would equal 3xy, so the factors would be n, 1, 3, 3x, 3y, xy, x, and y

@soporificpeafowl Still have this one on my calc. I set 1/x^2+2 = 0.01 and got 9.899. Nearest to 10.

Does anyone remember the options for the second temperature/cheese problem?

@MilaHika
I) Approaches 55 over a long period
II) At some time, it will be 75 degrees
III) At some time, it will be 50 degrees

what was the answer to the parabola and line problem that asked about the y-value being bigger in a certain area

0 < x < 3 @jewlsfi

@jewlsfi -1<x<2 if I recall

edit: if that wasn’t an option then it was 0<x<3

was the answer to the question about like f(x+h)-f(x)=, answer choice E?
