**SAT 2 Physics Discussion Thread Nov 2015**

You mean the velocity time graph at the very beginning?

Yes

See momentum had the Same graph
acceleration was the one which had parallel line to v, and then a negative slope
position was the one where is always increasing
Dont remember the other options

The test was pretty weird. Some questions were really easy, but many of them were confusing…

For the ball being thrown out of a lift. What was the answer?

goes up and then back down i think @Lesnar8

@NJparent2000 the question had graphs. So there was one going towards the top and another towards bottom.

yeah and there was one going up and back down which was the answer

I think for that one the answer is about magnetism. Because I remember the first pic in Chapter 22 in the Physics book(the Cutnell one). It said that microphones operate using magnetism?

Here’s a link to a question showing a similar velocity vs time graph with very similar questions (1-4). So acceleration was the flat positive line the suddenly dropped to being a flat negative line. Displacement was the one that kept increasing. Momentum was the same graph. And I think kinetic energy was the one that looked like B here.

does anyone know what the most recent curves have been? or what the average you can typically miss for an 800 is?

You can find another thread on here that gives approximate curves, usually about -12 is still an 800, but a -13 - 15 could be a 790-800. Does anyone know how this test was compared to other one’s you’ve taken/how the curves were on those?

Ugh feeling so bad after this test. I ended up skipping like 30 questions, and by the end I was just looking for things that seemed vaguely familiar. Hoping for something above 600.

@AmerRio1 how could momentum be keep increasing? and also where is the link :stuck_out_tongue:

@yolomaster98 He means that Momentum is the same graph as the velocity one since momentum=m*v.

honestly i found the first 4 questions the hardest LOL

^^ this is the first test of Princeton Review. So it took me a few seconds to answer all the of those :stuck_out_tongue:

This test was unusually hard. I consistently scored 750+ on barron’s and 780+ on PR, but this test was just too hard. I skipped 12 and probably am getting about the same or 15 wrong. can I still hope for a 730+ ?

The test was definitely very hard, even though there were several simple questions. I certainly think the curve should be better than the average.

I found it to be harder than PR. And even the official test in the Subject Test book was much easier than this. There were a lot of conceptual questions as well as calculations. Really hoping for a lenient curve
