Sat 2 physics pros, help!

so.. i have read all threads regarding sat 2 physics but i couldn't find an answer to my question..

what are the constants we have to know for the test other than speed of light, c?

what about PLANCK'S constant? will it be given?

PS - i find that barrons sucks like hell.. what do you guys think?

Barrons really sucks
abt the constants…ummmmmm…dunno what i remembered.
i don’t think i ever remebered the planck’s constant.

i found Princeton really helpful. That’s the one i read . i suggest you to read it and from barrons, do only the ttests.

Aside from the speed of light and acceleration of gravity (which you can approximate as 10 m/s^2), you don’t need to know constants. You do need to know formulas.

I recommend PR as well.

thanks guys!!

PR’s book is good but I like SparkNotes’ book more.

sparknotes gives better explanations, pr sucks. i went to the lib. and got a text book. i used pr to find out what to study, do practice probs., and take tests, but i wouldn’t recommend trying to learn anything new from it for sure.

^^^
true. PR is useful for revision of concepts u’ve already learned. i never did sparknotes so i wouldn’t know abt it.

o and a lot of the mathematical concepts of em and electricity aren’t covered in basic first year text books, as well as oscillations and parts of optics. i would say leave a lot of time to prepare, and go find yourself a good tutor/teacher because overall books by themselves don’t cut it.

yeah…u should learn the concepts from other sources…i gave my test when i was studying my second year A level phy course. So didn’t have much problem with the course.

The entire first half of the PR book was new to me and I learned it just fine. You just have to think about it for a while.
