Sat 2 us history????

Hey guys, im planning to take sat2 us history this fall.
my question is: i didnt take ap us history my junior year.
but i was in what my school called "advanced level".
however, i am self studying with a kaplan review guide for the us history sat.

does not taking ap us history translate into a bad sat 2 us history score?
will he hurt my chances of getting a good grade? Or by studying the kaplan review help me achieve a good score?

Although taking an AP course will undoubtedly be a stronger foundation than easier courses, it does not mean that with enough study you cannot achieve a similarly high score.

For example, I took honors chemistry and made a 770 with a little review before the test.

Keep in mind, however, that I took my SAT II in June, only a couple of weeks after classes had ended; you’ll probably need to study more over the summer to keep the concepts fresh.

hold on…

so your saying that with enough self study i cant achieve a great score?

well obviously if u study really hard of course you can get a good score

“with enough self study i cant achieve a great score”

Quite the opposite.

I’m saying that with enough study, it doesn’t make a difference.

well that was just my opinion lol

what do u mean it wouldnt make a difference?
so its useless to study? i dont understand

My goodness. I’m trying to say that it’s okay that you didn’t take AP USH. As long as you study adequately for the SAT II test, you’ll do well on the SAT II test.

Sheesh.

haha
um I would say regardless of whether you took AP or not, you still have to study. It’s just a matter of how MUCH you have to study. If you took a super-rigorous, detail-oriented honors course, then with some review you should be fine. If you took a course where you BSed your way through essays and such, you have your work cut out for you. At my school honors and AP are taught by the same (incredible) teacher so many Honors students do quite well on the SAT II.
good luck! =]
