Northwestern says SAT 2s are recommeneded, so does this mean that if you don't want to take any that they will look down upon you, or essentially, you will have a lower shot of getting in?

I have a question about sat2s as well. I took three but on my commonapp I only listed two because all of the other schools I applied to only recommended two. I sent my sats so they will see the other sat2s but is it terrible I forgot to list them on my commonapp? The website recommended three.

To the OP - No, you won't be penalized if you don't submit SAT II's. It doesn't equal automatic rejection by any means, but of course, compared to an applicant with similar stats but who has submitted high SAT II scores, they might have a slight advantage over you. That's all.

Don't worry about it. If you've submitted your apps, just wait for the acceptances to come in.

I personally didn't submit SAT IIs because I didn't take them! Only submitted ACT. I never have Saturdays free and when I thought I was going to get to take them, I signed up but something came up so I just blew them off...but I'm not losing sleep over it. I just couldn't apply to schools that wanted them (mostly Ivies which I wasn't serious about going to anyway), which helped me save money and time :)

So don't worry!

I only submitted one and I got in! :)
