I know Georgetown's policy is to not permit the use of the score choice option. However, I was wondering: if I have taken the ACT and the SAT, and my ACT score is better, given that policy, is it permissible to submit ACT scores and SAT Subject test scores? I plan on retaking the SAT, but I'm just trying to figure out a plan b in case the retake does not go well.

I recieved a 35 (35 R, 36 M, 34 E, 35 S) and a 2230 (760 CR, 710 M, 760 W (75/10)). It's not that the SAT is bad, but my math score is far lower than it has ever been, and I'm accustomed to acing that and chronically scoring lower on the CR, so I'm just not sure what happened.

I know they also have a policy of not requiring all ACT scores, because each individual score report costs a certain amount extra, etc. Based on this policy, I was wondering: would they find it permissible to not send the SAT score(s)?

You said your “math score is far lower than it has ever been.” Do you mean to say you’ve taken it before and done better? Because schools will look at only your best scores from all test dates.

I mean that on the ACT, both PSATs, every SAT practice test I’ve ever attempted, it has been higher. It’s not that it’s awful, but it’s nowhere near my best.

Also, Georgetown has a policy of looking at ALL SCORES.

Oh, okay. Honestly, your scores definitely good enough, I don’t think you should be that worried, you could send both your SAT and ACT scores and it would be fine.

They do look at all scores, but they consider your best ones.

I don’t know for sure whether Georgetown will require you to send that SAT, but your scores are great and you shouldn’t worry. Don’t forget everyone is sending all their scores so admissions sees scores that aren’t good and they promise to just look at the best.
