So my ACT is a 33, while my highest SAT score is only a 1940. Do UC's allow you to use score choice so my sat score would be hidden? if not, would it play a factor that my sat score is lower substantially? Lastly, for sending score reports, do i need to send it to each campus im applying to? Thanks!

Yes, I’m pretty sure UC’s let you use score choice, and you only need to send your scores to one campus, since the UC’s share all the info with each other

unless things have changed in recent years, you have you send scores to each UC campus.

different answers…^ anyone else know?

You can send them to only one, they will share scores with each campus. I’m positive. Save yourself some money and just send it to your top UC choice and it’ll get distributed.

UC’s do not allow Score Choice. UC’s want all your scores.

You need to send to one UC only and all the others will also receive them.

My sister is in a very similar situation. Good luck! :)

so i have to send my SAT score even though my act is so much higher?

bumppppppp

I’m sure it’s on the UC admissions page. If you don’t submit your SATs then well… .they’ll never know. If you need to submit SAT IIs however (do they still require this?) then all your scores will be sent in as well.

veritas987, you should send everything.

SAT Subject Tests are still required; next year they will be “recommended.”

This is from the UC App website:

A few guidelines
If you’re applying for admission to the fall term, be sure to take your admissions tests no later than December of your senior year — preferably earlier — to ensure that your application receives prompt and full consideration. It is unlikely that scores from tests taken after our December deadline will arrive in our office in time for our review process.
Report ACT and/or SAT scores on your admissions application, then request that an official copy of the scores be sent to us from the testing agency. You can have your official score report sent to one UC campus, and all campuses you apply to will receive it.
In the College Board’s Score Choice module, ensure that all scores are sent to UC. We require all scores and will use the highest scores from a single administration.
For the ACT With Writing test, we will focus on the highest combined score from the same test administration.
For the SAT Reasoning test, we will focus on the highest total (composite) score from a single test date.
We do not require results of tests taken for the purpose of talent programs in middle or junior high school (e.g., Johns Hopkins Center for Talent Youth, Duke University’s Talent Identification Program, etc.). Those test scores do not have to be sent to us.
We do not accept test substitutions.

So the OP can report ACT instead of the SAT II? In addisiton, report SAT subject tests?

Thanks!!
