How much do standardized tests really matter to wesleyan? My scores are definitely the weakest part of my application.

Me too.. my gpa is decent and like everything else is fine.
I have leadership roles in few clubs although not all of them and I think I show enough passion through those activities I did (Im a prospective art history major and ive done internships in museums and i like dancing so im a member of the cheerleading squad and co-captain of the school dance team...)
but sat... its not that bad but its not good either..
seeing my sat score, i probably stand a 50/50 chance but.. i want to really go to Wesleyan.....

but i mentioned this on the other thread.. and probably shouldn't say this alot..
im an international and in 2007, someone from my high school with 3.45 gpa and 1420 two way and 2020 three way sat score...
maybe that person excelled in essays or other parts of the app..
and im really really worried...

i am worried too! Wesleyan is the only school that i love. I just took the ACT 2 weeks ago, so I am praying for anything above a 31. Tests really suck. :( But I kind of get the feeling that Wesleyan has a heart. That is one of the reasons why I love it to much. Did you go to the open house in October? It was so amazing!

As i said.. i live abroad... and ive never been to US ever in my life:(
but the graduates from our high school come every year for homecoming and the people who attend Wes are the ones who seem really happy and they told me lots of nice things about the school and really liked it....:(
good luck on your ACT!

Thanks, good luck to you too!
