Is there an advantage in college admissions if I only take the SAT once? Does it show that I'm not obsessed about it?

it's not going to get you into college
but a 730 730 730 in the first try is better than

620 680 710
670 700 700
700 710 720
730 730 730

neat. I've taken it once and got a 2210, and I figure that it's not really worth it to take it again. I'm going to be applying to Brown's PLME, but I figure once you get over 2200 it probably comes down to grades, letters of rec, and ECs.

I don't think taking it once makes a difference that if you took it like 3 times.

Like you said, once you get a certain grade, no matter how it is obtained, all comes down to grades.

Well if you don't think you can improve then it's fine.

i got 2180 first time.

then 2300 second time.

for me, taking it the 2nd time was much more advantageous than just keeping my first time score.

It was interesting to me, however, that my score report says "Of those who scored a 750 on the verbal section, 57% scored lower on a second testing, 33% improved, and 10% had no change."

Well if you practice, you can easily raise that score.
