If you take the SAT I only once and score decently (2150/2200 + not sure which) and choose not to retake, do colleges take into account that you would likley score better if you retook and so not put you far down from someone with a 2300+ super/single score with a retake or two? Or do they just think you are lazy (I understand that there are other factors as in what was done in the time that the person saved from not retaking)?

They would have no reason to assume that you would’ve been “likely to score better.” That’s nonsense.

Amen.

(word count)

Depends on your situation and the colleges you will be applying to.

True, it would be better to say that they would possibly improve. Also, it is somewhat of a general question. Is, say someone with a 2150 then a 2300+ seen as better than someone with say a 2250 taken once (all other considerations being equal)?
