Would I need to especially buy PSAT prep stuff and work on the PSAT a lot in addition to SAT, or can I just work on SAT and be fine for PSAT. Of course, I'll do some PSAT practice tests, but is it really necessary to spend a lot of time on it?

They’re pretty much the same. And if you live in most states, NMSF will be laughably easy.

ok, thanks

Study over summer and plan to take the SAT sometime in Sept to Dec. Then with all of ur SAT studying under ur belt, take a few PSAT practice tests just before the Oct test. Then you’ve studied one time for 2 tests.

Studying for SAT is completely sufficient for PSAT because they are basically the same thing except for the fact that SAT has an essay and slightly harder math. Doing PSAT practice tests is useful though.
