So, my parents' plan was to have me do mucho mucho SAT prep, even before I took the PSAT, because they thought I could kill 2 birds with one stone that way. Can anyone say whether or not that's a good idea? Should I hurriedly embark upon some PSAT-specific test prep so as to try and max out the PSAT too? The PSAT is really important to my family, my sister got a national merit scholarship and has a free ride for the next four years and my parents want me to have that option too.

How different are the two tests anyway? I know that your scores come back way later for the PSAT, but I don't know when... I'm taking it October eighth, I think. Help? Thank you everyone in advance!

If it's helpful, I do pretty darned well on my practice SAT's, I get 2200s but I'm going up.
