SAT Bio II curve

It seems like this year the Curve for Bio is particularly bad, anyone want to help contribute to a possible curve?
Many of my friends got close but not 800, and seems like they didn't miss more than 3 questions either.

I know i missed 1 question (unless there are bubbling mistakes) and got 800
A friend of mine said they missed 2 questions and got a 790.... is that possible?
We both did Bio M

or if you know about how many you've missed, perhaps we could try to figure out the curve?

This might be very helpful to future Bio sat II takers in June

From the gen’l SAT2 posts I only saw people report these Bio M scores in the 700-800 range: 800, 770 and 740. Your friend’s 790 is the first one I’ve seen. There seems to be a lot of scores in the 600s. Didn’t see anyone report a 750, 760. this doesn’t help w/ your curve b/c I can’t answer how many ?s people think they got wrong. But I think you’re right: seems like this may have been a harsh curve b/c of the scores reported.

I skipped one question and answered all the other ones. The test didn’t seem that difficult. However, I only got 730. Is it worth to do rescoring?
BTW, I got 800 in a couple of practice tests.

I didnt skip any I probably got 3-5 wrong and I got a 750

How many can you miss and still get an 800? cause i know i omitted one wrong and got definitely 5 wrong and my score was 740. But on practice tests, I got 800 or at least a 780 ):

The scale felt very different than the practice test…

Right now i’m assuming the maximum you can get wrong is 2 problems and 3 wrongs (ie -4 on raw) would bring you down to 790.
At least this was for Bio M

Bio E i’m not sure… I bubbled in both E and M and check over them both before i choose M. seems like E’s curve wouldn’t be that much more generous because its pretty easy as well…

So bio score M seems like

800
800
800
790
780
760
750
740
… ?

i highly doubt rescoring changes anything unless you’re one of those people that consistently hit 770+ on practice tests but some came back with a 640 or something.

Yeah, I think I only missed 5 and skipped only 2 or less and ended up with a 740.

I got a 760, with one omit, and I’m pretty sure I got more than 3 wrong…

This seems rather discouraging so far… Perhaps when the national percentiles come out in 4 days we’ll see how the percentiles breaks down.

God dammit! I’ve been getting 780-800s on my practice tests…
then I got a 630. What the hell happened.

It sounds like a lot of people got low scores in May Bio exam. It 's rare.

Yea… i sort of expected all my friends scores to be higher… humm, thats quite strange.

The two people from my school who took it scored 670 and 680, I believe. I was suprised by their results, considering that they were both somewhat confident that they would receive 800s.

@ Silver, are you taking the Bio subject test?

Also, to add to this thread, I’ve taken honors biology freshman year, and AP biology this junior year, and I only scored a 740 on Bio M! I think I simply overthought some of the lab questions, etc. I am retaking in June, except this time in ecology.

Yes, they both took Bio-M.

@ Silver again lol: Are you personally taking the bio subject test?

^ Only if I get 800 on Literature this June. (I.e., probably not)

I see; what else are you taking? (I myself will have taken 6 subject tests after my junior year has concluded)

I took Literature, Math 2, and Chemistry this month. I got 800 on the last two, but Literature went poorly. I’ll retake that one in June and see what happens (the curve is brutal). During the summer, I will independently study U.S. History and Physics for October.

I see. That sounds like a plan. I too am taking the literature in June; the only preparation I’ve had is the one collegeboard practice test. Is there anything else you intend to study?
