I am about to finish freshman year in Biology Honors. I was top student in Biology this year and only missed one question on the online SAT Bio test, so I figured I would just go ahead and take the Bio Subject Test!

I am taking it in June and will have about 2 weeks to study for it. Is Barron's enough to get a 770-800 on it? Also, is 2 weeks enough time to self study for it?

Thanks so much!

Yes, Barron’s should be good enough to score highly if you’ve already been successful in a biology course. 2 weeks should be fine, as long as you study every day (that’s what helps it stick, the doing it every day part).

I bought the official study guide for all SAT subject tests and read from my AP bio cliff’s book. I took Bio E after honors bio and got a 780 a few weeks after the final. I just took Bio M after AP biology and I felt like I got an 800 lol.

2 weeks if more than enough time, as long as your background in Bio is strong, which I see it is. Just read over key terms and make sure you know lab concepts and biochemistry if you are going to take Bio M.

Two weeks is enough to study for any multiple choice test on the planet that is given in your native language. You just need to practice, practice, practice, and then practice some more.

Take as many practice exams as you can, the closest to the actual test date, the better.

Narrow your focus as the test approaches. When you’re a day or two out, focus on the test to the exclusion of everything else.
