the slopes of lines of a rectangle are always perpindicular which means negative reciprocal slopes, which means its going to be x-1/xx*-1/x that equals 1

of course i am pretty tired since its midnight so i could be wrong

Ditto to what Nalcon said. By definition, a rectangle has perpendicular sides, so if the slope of one side is x, then the perpendicular side has a slope of -1/x. That means the product = (x) * (x) * (-1/x) * (-1/x) = (x^2)/(x^2) = 1
