SAT Bootcamp...worth it?

My high school Junior D is currently studying for next year's SATs by taking the College Board practice exams. She only recently started, but has been taking the SAT exams since her Freshman year, so she is familiar with the exam.

The PSAT is next month, and a company called Catalyst is offering an SAT bootcamp to get other kids ready for the SAT. We are considering signing her up for this bootcamp, but wanted to hear from anyone that has taken these courses to find out if they do indeed help.

We don't plan on using any SAT review courses next year for the SAT, but just wondered if the bootcamp offered any tips that can't be found by taking practice tests over and over.

Appreciate all input.

No, you do not need any of these expensive SAT courses or “boot camps”. Your child just needs only to work hard. That being said, why are you on the website, and not her? She is the one who should be here exploring CC, and gathering information. Honestly, this forum is the best “bootcamp”/course I’ve ever had, especially the stickies and the “Answer this difficult question” threads.

I personally dont think that any tutors or classes are necessary. self-studying is the way to go.

I took a boot camp this summer, and I honestly think that it just forced me out of my laziness. That’s it.
