Many colleges take best scores from each section of the SAT. Does this now apply within the writing section. Lets say, if a person gets an almost perfect grammar score on the first test and does not do well on the essay, gets a 7, and does worse on the second test on grammar but does much better on the essay. Would that appear as a high grammar score and a high essay score? or would the college just look at the higher writing section composite? Thanks.

Composite.....for sure.
