I have two friends and one of them is smart and the other not so much. They both took the SAT at the same test center and used their real ID’s but on the test the put each other’s information so they took the test for one another essentially. They were in different rooms but at the same test center. Are they going to get caught or is this a huge error for the College Board?
One huge giveaway is that they would appear to be in opposite rooms than they should have been.
How idiotic.
“I have two friends”
You better hope your “friend” is not you.
They already did it, so I don’t know why you’re posting. Are you asking if you should report your friends because my answer will always be yes. It’s fraud. Not only did they sign legal contracts to the college board about not cheating, but also to any colleges receiving their application (and test scores) vouching for its overall integrity. I haven’t taken the SAT, but aren’t test takers assigned to a room? If so, your friends might already be under scrutiny.
If your not so smart friend (well both aren’t bc trying to mess w/ the CB is just dumb) already took the SAT and scored poorly, a marked increase in their score might tip CB off. Your friend would then have to retake and score around the same if he doesn’t want his test cancelled. Also, the CB has been known to take people to court over things like this.
they can also tell when your handwriting is different on the essay if they have taken it before
And curious why the “smart” friend would be willing to sully their SAT score record with an assumed lower score from the “not smart” friend. Does the smart friend assume that a lower score wouldn’t matter to a college that superscores? Are they not applying to colleges that require all scores to be sent?
