what amount did you have to surpass your previous SAT score by to get your scores held back because of suspicion of "cheating"? I think I did quite well this time around, seeing as teh first time I took it i got a 1920 because I was sick and on drowsy medicine, but this time i was fine and I had taken SAT prep classes. I hope nothing serious happens.........it's a smal thing i've been worried about, lol, it's like im afraid to do good now.....

Oh they won't notice unless it's a huge amount in one of the consectutive testing dates (like may you get a 1150/1600 and June you get a 1570) that would seem weird but otherwise you're fine

I raised my scores from a 1720 to a 2160,
a 440 score increase!!
I raised my 500 writing score to a 760,
and my 550 math to a 730... CR didn't change though- 670

My score was withheld from me for an extra 3 weeks,
but I guess they found everything alright so they finally mailed it to me...

Don't worry, just don't actually cheat, and CB won't find anything wrong

Great thing is that I didn't take any prep classes, tutoring, or anything like that
I just bought a PR book with the 11 Practice tests and finished them all
Self study is the greatest method

see, i got a 600R, 610W, and a 710M, and i assume my new scores will be 760W, 740M, and like a 700R, so im scared, I don't want anything bad to happen.

would a change of 320 some odd points be reason enough to hold back my scores?

300+ composite with the new scale might trigger alarms
400+ composite point change will trigger alarms

that's so messed up, it's like they are discouraging people to do a lot better than before.

I hope they don't do that from sophmore PSAT to junior PSAT.

PSAT isnt' a big deal, and i highly doubt they check to see if you cheated on teh PSAT. everyone does a lot better on the PSAT's, so there isn't any way they can flag down anything

I highly doubt that you'll actually have issues funkmasta. Seriously, relax.

ya, seriously, don't worry about it. You should only be worried about doing well if you actually cheated. Otherwise, they can't do anything. If they ban your score because you raised it by like 500 points legit, then just take CB to court, and they'll look stupid.

Besides, many people get HUGE point increases. CB doesn't have the money and energy to do background checks on each one of them.

how r they gonna check if u cheated?

^^

again, i wouldn't worry about it unless you cheated

They can't do anything even if you had a 1000+ point jump unless they have evidence that you cheated, in which case is very hard for them to obtain.

When I took the SAT in May, I was pretty sick, ended up with 1940. I'm hoping for at least a 200 point increase this time.

My last two ACTs I've gotten 32 and 33, so I think I should be able to do quite a bit of improvement.

don't worry, there have only been very few cases where there was trouble. and the people really did cheat in those cases.

found that article, it said that they flagged down scores that increased 350 points on the old SAT out of 1600, so I guess that means maybe they increased the limit for the new SATs, i mean, it seems like it would make sense. okay, my nerves are calming down alittle......

funk: you have absolutely no reason to be not calm in the beginning, unless you cheated.

lol, i know, Im just really paranoid about the smallest stuff, alright, i'll close this post now. POST CLOSED.
