I'm in honors chemistry right now and I want to take the subject test in either may or june.
I was planning on taking the SAT in June so that left me with the subject test in may.
Should I do that? Even though we probably won't be finished with the year,
or should I switch it up and take the SAT in May and the subject in June?

I'm also taking 3 AP's that same week of May, so I have to consider that also.

take chem in may unless you’re sure you can pull off a score on the May SAT that you’re happy with, because with 3 AP tests, you don’t have much time to study for it. SAT is way way way more important than chem. good luck :)

I’d really devote time to study for it. I’m in Chemistry (H) myself, and looking at some of the CollegeBoard’s practice problems, I don’t feel ready at all take on the SAT II Chemistry (I was planning to take that SAT II this year myself).

I’d study over the summer and take it on one of the fall dates or something (using PR’s Cracking the Chemistry SAT Subject Test, of course).
