SAT conversion

is this the way to convert tne new SAT into old SAT form?
for example, let's say you got a 2100
you divide 2100 by 3 and multiply by 2
so it's a 1400/1600?

just add your math and verbal scores..

add math and verbal to see how you would have done on the old SAT. but if you want a comparison of how you did on the entire new SAT in terms of the old, do it your way.

or do the (2100*1600)/2400

no, althought what misterme2009 and you say are the same thing, we can't say that a 2100 is the same as a 1400 because the new SAT tests different things. Look at the "How colleges will look at the New SAT." For example, if one has a 800 CR and 800 Math, then a 700 Writing, would you say their converted score is 1533 (rounded down) when they've obviously gotten a perfect score on CR + Math i.e. the sections for the old SAT? Of course not.

My Score! w00t.

And, no, I wouldn't settle for telling people unfamiliar with the New SAT that I got a 1530 - i'd say 1600.
