the run-down: i'm a slacker junior who hasn't taken a single SAT practice test yet. yeah... oops.
i'm really not motivated, so i've decided to take an SAT class.
if you've taken SAT classes before, what company would you recommend?

I didn't take a practice test until end of my junior year. D:
But Princeton Review would probably be the best test prep class.

^Please don't follow Xcellerator's advice for PR. PR is probably one of the worst test prep companies and the value of the class is usually dependent upon the tutor of the class; however, the tutor must usually follow the guidelines, which are usually complete crap. Joe Bloggs is pretty worthless. Honestly, the best prep class that I know of is probably elite. There are many bad prep companies out there like PR, Kaplan and various others.

The class' usefulness is going to be entirely dependent upon your motivation. Unless you're already able to score well on the SAT, I wouldn't expect to take an SAT class and then expect to magically score well.

Elite is best. its asian run and is more effective than PR/Kaplan.

Never heard of Elite. They're robably not around in my area or else I would have taken classes from them. Testmasters/Kaplan/etc. blow yes. PR is somewhat decent, especially with their tests. And yes, the best classes do depend on your instructor.

i would recommend tutorfox.com if you are in the LA area

i took a PR course, the math advice and cr techniques helped a ton.

In Boston, I'd look up Chyten: http://www.chyten.com/.

I'd also see if you can find a good one-on-one tutor: Boston's a good spot for it.
