On January 2013 SAT, some people told me that -1 CR wasn't 800, but 790!! Have you ever seen this? I was under impression that even -3 could be 800, but -1 seems harsh...

The easiest Critical Reading tests I’ve ever seen have had a max of 2 wrong for an 800. I’ve never heard of 1 wrong NOT being an 800.

Those people were right, and the curve was quite harsh. -2 was a 770.

Yes -1 was a 790. On the other hand, the test was SUPER easy. I wish I had taken it on that date…

-3 is pretty much NEVER an 800. Usually -1 is an 800, -2 is about 780-790.

I think an easy test with a harsh curve is actually harder because it doesn’t give you room for stupid mistakes.

what do you need for perfect math sat 1 score?

you need to get every question right with 0 omits for a perfect on math. -1 could be anywhere from 760-790 depending on the day

I got -3 on the January SAT and a 730. That curve sucked.

Is it true that the June curve was even worse?

I had 2 wrong in June and had an 800 in CR.

Was the test really that easy?

I agree with @sg12909’s post above.
