So, I missed the December 5th test date for my SAT Subject Test because 30 of the test sites in the Houston area were closed, the news advised against traveling that early for where I lived and other places were closed. People at my school were talking about the December 5th SAT being postponed, so naturally I didn't expect my school to be open, particularly not when some right next to it were closed (from other students mention their cancellation at those sites). Unfortunately as far as I know my test site was still open so I completely missed it.

The problem is that the college I'm applying to has a January 1st deadline for a complete postmarked application, which now excludes my 3rd subject test. The next test date is January 23rd and because my school was, to my knowledge now, not rescheduled or canceled I am without any means of finishing this application in it's entirety.

I have no idea what to do.
All the SAT test dates are too late for the application
The ACT has a test date on the 12th of December,
but it would require the registration fee, the late fee and the standby fee;
none of which guarantee my being able to take the test that day.
Not to mention I'm not exactly affluent with $100+ to just toss around
in the name of chance.

Anybody know what to do in this sort of situation?
I've already contacted the help area of College Board
via email and plan on calling Monday as soon as I can.
I feel like I'm about to get screwed due to weather here.

Definitely contact College Board as suggested above and see if you can take the test when it is reset in December for most in the Houston area. Also, check its site to assure your test was not cancelled since it has a list of cancelled centers on its site Also, I am aware of only one college that has a January 1 deadline and also requires three SAT IIs and that is Harvard, which takes January SAT tests so if that is the college you could apply for the January test if not allowed the December retake.

It is indeed Harvard, I’m just worried because of the whole ordeal, particularly when I’m not able to provide something to a school by the time they are asking and most certainly not when it’s a school this selective.

So, I’m just wondering how the hell Memorial High School is open when HCC Northwest College is closed and they are like less than a 10 minute drive from each other on the highway. I got a response to my email and they basically said if my test center was open then I’d have to reschedule it for the January test date. Thanks to someone posting above I heard Harvard will still accept that date, it’s just certain circumstances dictate that at best I should have my things turned in on time. Sorry if this sounds *****y, it was just an unexpected occurrence when the rest of my applications and such were going so well. Thanks for all the help guys =)

I would still call College Board tomorrow and see if you can take the make-up test because of the weather situation or alternatively, go to another testing center as a stand-by (which would require you to pay again).
