My name is Ghada, I am from Cairo, Egypt. A while ago I received an e-mail from ETS notifying me that my December SAT scores will be delayed up to five weeks! Truth is that I contacted some of my friends who took the test in Egypt and ,till now, some said that they encountered the same thing. The fishy thing is that ETS did not outwardly state WHY the results will be delayed and whether Egypt is the only country going through this!

Has anybody else in Egypt or anywhere encountered this? Please share your thoughts about this matter. :)

Hi Ghada! I too, am a sufferer of your fate. I believe only Egypt has this shit… rightfully so because i have like 5 friends that had answers going into the exam… seriously… fuck egypt.

@nexuslover But how would they get answers for SAT? That is really unfair, I did not cheat and so did not MANY people. Do you have any idea if all scores could be canceled due to this? Also, do you know if this is happening anywhere else in the world?

Hello, I’m from Egypt too.
Just received this exact Email and my friend too got it so I think its something that got sent to all Egyptians.
Lets hope for the best :)

Neither did I wallahy. How did they get the answers? I have no idea… But I am sure that it is the same way that it is always done… through private tutors. Not sure if it is happening anywhere else… we’ll just have to wait and see.

I actually have fears that they would get revenge on the whole country and cancel ALL scores haha to teach the suckers an unforgettable lesson.

@nexuslover Why da hell did you not report that? I mean perhaps if we (el sha3b) show some responsibility, this would not happen in our country and suckers like these would be controlled, but now, we are having it affecting all of us. I guess College Board should increase awareness about this matter in countries like Egypt.

Trust me guys, I wanted to report it… And I did report cheating when I saw it during the exam… but the damage of leaking the exam had been done… I couldn’t do anything.

@NexusLover I still have my doubts about the actuality of this leak. The only thing that was shared was the Essay Topic, and it was by the people who were taking the same SAT in different timezones.

Well, let’s hope for the best, maybe College Board will only annul scores that show illogical improvement, they will compare essays and do their thing. So, anyone who did not cheat should be at ease.

@tripleKill Actually, my friend told me over the phone the day before “dude these are the three possible essay topics”… I didn’t believe him… but one actually came…So weird…

The thing really matters now is time. Many seniors need to use Dec. SAT results for their RD application. This massive 5-week-delay will have a very negative impact for these students. It is unfair to delay all the scores especially for most students who did not cheat. CB should take the responsibility for the leakage of the test materials, not the innocent students! They ought to take proper preventions before every test.

@FaroukYasser Yeh, but i’m saying that this isn’t the first time an Essay or a few questions have been leaked, heck, even in October they had to close several CC threads because they were leaking the answers early.
