My psat score was 219 but my SAT was only 2150... im certain that 219 will make that cut in my state but can i still get merit without matching the psat score?

Are you serious?

They don't require your psat and your SAT score to be the EXACT same, they just don't want a huge discrepancy between the two scores (200/300+ points).....you're only 40 points different...relax.

Close enough. Statistically, no difference.

Seriously, you need to calm down, swordmaster. Do you actually think that the collegeboard would deny you of a scholarship/commendation/etc. on the basis that your scores were off by 40 points? Get real!

Sorry for the cynicism, by the way, but I have to react like that when I see such a post.

Also, I see that you have taken the ACT in addition to the SAT. Which did you find easier? Just curious (I'm not planning on taking the ACT, as I have already done well on an SAT I and II-Chemistry test, but would like to know your thoughts).

hey mstrlndcwys,

i personally feel that the ACT is far easier in the reading and writing sections. The answers are basically in the text for the reading section of the ACT. The math in the ACT is a little more tricky with geometry and requires u to really pace urself. Even though i think math on the SAT is a little easier, they really cut down ur score when u get one or two wrong.
If u had no problems with the SAT, u should think ACT is a walk in the park. The only thing different is the science. For the ACT science, i feel that its just the same with the reading where i read it first (ignoring all the scientific jargon) and answer the questions accordingly

ah stop crying...2120 here versus 220 v. psat. However, I learned a lot of math in the weeks between Oct 6 and Oct 18, go figure

why is everyone making it sound like im crying..? lol
