are you talking about the uh... whats it called again...... anyway its for math club right??

wow. thats the nerdiest thing I've ever heard of. Literally laughing. LOL HAHAHHAHAHAH lol HAHAHHAH lol hahahahhaah

is it as bad as license plates that say 2400SAT? I saw that today...

uh.... on your own car?

god no, of course not.

that license plate is bs and kenneth, get a life.

kenneth2005, yeah i think since we are in pretty much the same area, both our schools do the thing. we have a genius at our school and shes gonna win it so you guys can stop trying :) we have had 6 contests so far and her total is 36... so she hasnt missed one yet. and shes a damn sophomore! shes in my ap physics class and has a 106% in the class. grr!!

I think those competitions taffy is having are really interesting. I never had any such things to stimulate me while I was in school. Our scools are so boring. Just going studying doing tests or being examined ..... it
s really the the least stimulating thing in the world. And still we were studying. Be glad you don
t study in Bulgaria!

my school has a math team and we have a test every month with 6 questions. Last time i got 4 right. Also they always have questions with the year in it for example

Like how many prime numbers in 2005?

haha yeah i know what you mean. if you dont know what the answer is, just guess the year the test was made in, usually 2003.

its called CAT or something right?? i got a 5 once, nonchalant......

kenneth2005, i agree. The SAT is awesome. It is not only fun to take but also beautiful. The questions are so perfectly made and constructed that one can't help to have a certain respect for the test. For me, the SAT is not about getting into college, it's about dignity and self-accomplishment. I got a 780 Math IC, and I just took Math IC again to get 800. Not that that 20 points will make difference, but because I need to prove to myself that I can get all 50 questions right. It's such a great feeling to answer a question correctly and anticipate a score 2 weeks later.

I wish I went to your school with an SAT club. My school first of all only cares about ACT, they don't even talk about SAT. Not to mention, my school doesn't care about academics, and even the smart kids don't have that much respect for these tests.

SAT is awesome.

i agree with taffy. the math is so fun, but reading SUX

Wow, I've never heard anyone refer to the SAT as art before. I know the definition of art has become progressively less discerning with society's obsession with modern art, but c'mon.
I can sympathize with your search for some kind of intellectual purity and merit but to be frank the SAT is the last place I have seen it. I don't need to be validated by some arbitrary number, and I can't help but see most of the questions, formats, and tricks of the SAT as rather contrived. I'm not saying that our of bitterness as I scored very well, I just didn't care for it at all. I'd rather be engrossed in a real academic endeavor if I happen to be doing something academic with my time (which is becoming less and less all the time...yay for senioritis).

these kids are ****ing institutionalized....

no we NEED to be institutionalized... 500 for you!

haha kiddin, we dont need to be institutionalized.

Alex, you took the Math IIC over just to bump up your score 20 points? To prove to yourself that you can be "perfect"? I got an 800 the first time, but believe me, if I had gotten anything above a 700, I wouldn't have even considered retaking it--and if I did retake it, it wouldn't be to prove to myself that I am cabable of perfection. Having to prove something to yourself such as this demonstrates a personal insecurity, a need for something external to validate your attitude of elitism. I think you would be better off skipping study time for these tests in order to find a more social means of garnering praise.

i really enjoy studying for the sat. instead of being layed by chicks i would rather spend my time studying for a standardized test made up by ets geeks. By the way, i got a 2250 on the sat. now that is behind me.

not Math IIC, Math IC, which is harder.

btw, theres no such thing as 2c or 1c, its just 1 and 2 now
