Anyone actually enjoy taking the SATs?

This sounds superrrr nerdy, but. I like them.

With exception of long, boring reading passages and the passages in the writing section, taking the test is enjoyable for me. Especially the math section.

I think I'm done with the SAT (unless I did a lot worse on this test than I think I did), which is kind of disappointing. No more practice tests. No more vocabulary. No more hard math questions that give such a thrill when I solve them. No turning to the back of the book and checking off the correct answers.

Am I alone?

I used to.
Until yesterday’s October SAT broke my confidence.
Now I don’t. Although I’ll like it again if I get 740 on CR and when I prepare for December SAT (math section particularly)

I would if it wasn’t so damn long.

Seriously, by the end of it I’m just about ready to collapse because it’s been 7 hours since I’ve eaten.

I love the SAT. I do practice tests in my free time because I like it for some reason. If it weren’t for the money, I’d take it every month. :stuck_out_tongue: It’s a good way to determine your critical thinking ability.

I don’t, but I don’t dread it either.

I think SAT Math is fun. haha. and i always like that “aha” moment when you realize the trick theyre trying to play on you and you get the question right. not a fan of reading passages though.

I do epically the essay! :)

So yesterday was my first time, apart from the essay and comparing reading passages, I like the SAT too. It’s more challenging than school. But then again, I’m probably regret saying this when my scores come out. :)

I actually do LOL. I mean, I’d rather hang out with friends or something, but the I don’t know, I enjoy taking the test for some reason.

I also find it super fun and thrilling.

I like the adrenaline rush of taking the SAT. I agree that I enjoy figuring out the tricks on the math section. The only part I don’t like about the SAT is the essay, because it’s stressful to develop all my ideas and put them down in only 25 minutes.

^ I agree entirely with your statement.

ugh yeah I hate the essay~
but, I’d be fine with it if it were 45 minutes. I could even go down to 35. But 25 is I think a bad idea because its not realistic at all… its not producing “best of the best” results, its producing “best of the worst” results.
I like writing essays though. Just not timed ones. I like writing really long involved **** which is always a bad idea on timed essays (on all my AP exams, I spent way too much time on the first two essays and was left with 10 minutes to write the last one)

@ reading passage; it depends on the passage for me. I enjoyed reading some of them on this SAT. I wish there were more fiction/intriguing nonfiction than there is.
on some of the practice tests there were really creative fiction excerpts that were so cool to read…

look at what collegeboard has turned you guys into!!!

Im really gona miss this stage of my life :frowning:

No more standardized tests! what will I do with myself???

But I do think some of the reading passages are very interesting and the math is always a fun section, it like solving little puzzles and riddles.

@ linger
there are still a couple more depending on what field you go into :D

grammar errors have a bit of that puzzle quality too, but maybe that’s just me. (this SAT doesn’t count since all the errors were glaringly obvious)

Simply put, no. :)
