<p>Hey guys.</p>

<p>I was wondering, would it be harmful for me if I used an example from TV series (f.e Californication, Supernatural, Criminal Minds ) in my SAT essay?</p>

<p>More, are personal examples really of that quality? For instance, If I had two different versions of an essay, one with examples from history, film and my observations and second one with examples from history, film and book would the latter be considered better? </p>

<p>I think that it doesn't matter what kind of example I use but HOW I use it, right?</p>

<p>even though many people say personal examples are bad, they can be good. i used a personal example and a current event example on my real SAT essay and it came out well.</p>
