What is it?
longer the better?
personal examples better?
5 paragraphs?
not 5 paragraphs?
anybody with a good score on the writing essay know what they did/did differently?
I got a 10 on the first essay, used two examples, one of them personal experience but on the last one got an 8 and used a history and lit example. I need to know!!!

yeah...there is a secret.

fill the two pages up
5 paragraphs
1 literary, 1 historical, 1 personal event
sprinkle a few SAT vocab words throughout

that will give you a 12.

I guarantee it...I've gotten a 12 twice with that formula.

^ i can prove it too. lol :)

^ my words exactly, but I only got an 11, because one of my graders decided to screw me over hahaha.

I was so proud of myself because I literally filled up the 2 pages exactly. As in, the last letter of the last word of my paper was up against the margin lol :p

haha my format is this
full two pages
4 paragraphs, intro, body, body, conclusion
examples are: 1 literary (if you can't think of one make it up) and one personal
3-4 "SAT words"
And voila, I got a 10
Though since you're shooting for a 12 maybe don't listen to me hahaha :P

Full two pages
4 paragraphs
GOOD intro

Gets me a 12 every time

thanks guys. i'm really looking for a 12 this time. or at least an 11. these tips should work!

so which is better? 4 or 5 paragraphs
