Is it true that if you fill up the two pages given you'll most likely get at least a 10?

I think that is the general concensus.

If this is true, I am extremely happy. I filled up both pages with two very relevant examples that answered the prompt. I sprinkled some appropriate, high-level vocab on top and varied my sentence structure. I really hope I get at least a 10, maybe an 11, maybe even a 12.

I did 1.8 pages… does that matter?

I had about four or five lines left.

yessssss, haha. I didn’t have any more space for even one more word

i had about 1 or 2 lines left…would that be considered filling up the entire two pages by the SAT graders?

If that isn’t, they’re a bunch of blockheads, because I had 2 lines left too. : \ If that’s not considered filling up the pages, then I’ll smack them.

I guess it is quantity and not quality :P

I filled up 2 pages and got a 10… I had two examples but neither was especially academic in nature so that’s probably why I didn’t score higher…

The last essay in December, I had two non-academic examples and I got a 10/12.

awwwsomee i had to write a little smaller to even ADD an extra line = D. However my 2 examples were a hypothetical situation that occurs often and a personal experience. Will no textual support hurt me? I had a counter argument too and varied sentence structure. Pretty good intro/ concl

I’m pretty sure that they won’t read your extra line.

no like its still in the box. You know how there is a little space between the last line and the end of the box? Yeah i wrote it there.

^Same as everybody above, December, filled 2 pages, non academic, 10/12

Do we get our essay score at the same time as the rest of our test?

So if you write a terrible essay with huge handwriting and wide margins and manage to fill up all two pages, you’ll get a 10/12? I wrote small because I was worried about running out of room, and ended up with about a page and a half.
