Hi guys, I'm confused on how my essay score adds to the writing score section. So if I, for example, got a 9 on my essay and a 40 raw score in writing, how do you calculate it? the conversion charts i've seen only go up to 6 so do you divide it by 2?

well, your total essay score is actually the combination of two scores from two different graders. each grader can give a score from 1-6, but the two scores must be within 1 point of each other. the highest total score would be 12, and the lowest would be 2. i’m assuming the conversion charts you are looking at are only using one grader’s score in determining your writing scaled score.
