What are some key things I should try to add to my essay to improve my score? I am a confident writer but I feel that I may have not included some things in my essay for the last SAT that could have gotten me a high score. I received an 8 on my last essay and I would like to get 10-12. Any advice, tips, or key things I should add to my essay?

Thank you

If you are a good writer, just worry about using concrete example(s). Focus on the argument; Make it clear and strong. I suggest not to use more than two examples, and remember to properly elaborate the ones you use and show how they relate to what you are trying to say. This may sounds too basic, but practice keeping this in mind, and your score will definitely improve.

^This is good advice and really needed around here. A lot of people get too focused on SAT vocal and miss the basics. I think three examples can be fine, but otherwise I couldn’t agree more.
