SAT Essay

I heard that penn admission officers take consideration of your SAT Essay score when making the decision, is that true? if it is, how important is it? i scored a 9 on my essay, would that significantly affect my chance?

yes they make decisions solely based on your SAT essay.

nahhhh don’t worry about it. From what I’ve heard, they might look at it if your common app/supplementary essays appear too polished. But then, they read through the essays at the speed of light. No worries.

I got an 11, but the upper 75% of accepted students get 9s.

I got an 8… I can’t write under pressure haha. 770 W score. 1 more point on the essay would have been an 800… :/
