SAT for UCI

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if an SAT I of 1700 is good test score enough for UCI??

thanx

yo anyone??

yes. I would say that is around the avg

The average from last year was 1839.

University of California - Admissions

That's not a bad score, but it really depends on your other stats. A 1700 coupled with a GPA of 4.0+ for example would increase your chances; however, the same score with a GPA of 3.5 for example, probably wouldn't do you any good.

I agree with strawbrry242. I had an 1850 with a 4.0+ and loads of extracurrics, but my friend scored in the 1700s with a 3.8+.

If you have been a lurker on these forums, you should know that admission does not depend solely on your SAT scores. There are several factors that contribute to your admission or demission from the UC system. Please continue looking.

Have you applied to Davis?

yea i applied to davis & sb also

i think it all really depends on your other stats. I had a 1980 and a 3.66 gpa and i got in. also depends on your major.

my UC GPA is 4.04, SAT 1720 SAT II MATH2C 610 BIOLOGY E 720 I have some decent ECs

major: undecided

Given the fact that your UC gpa is definitely within (and slightly above) Irvine's average gpa, I would say you have a good shot. But if you can retake it again, do so... unless you're a senior, obviously

yeah but asianguy try to take the SAT again because 1720 is still lower than average

What are my chances with a GPA=3.93 and SAT I = 1920

Youre in the right range amby, I dont know what your EC's are and I dont have your essays but if those are good I'd say you have a good shot.

you are in extremely good shape, all of you. i'd say apply to higher UCs, like berk and la -- it's a big lottery.
