SAT fourth time

Right now my 3rd score is my superscore I did the same/better in every subject and got a 2280 so I only need to send one score. Should I risk ruining that by taking it again?

No.

2280 is an awesome score, you have done better than 99% of the kids who took it. If you have time and you feel as if you should, then go ahead. Or try some SAT subject tests

besides most colleges look at superscores

^ I am not sure “most” is the correct assessment here, but there are certainly plenty of schools superscore SAT. It is irrelevant to OP anyway as his last score is the same as superscore.

Not worth taking it again. Generally speaking, a 2250+ is the “safe zone” for top colleges. Plus, certain schools (Yale comes to mind, for example) require that you send scores from EACH time you took the test that you’re choosing to send - that was horribly worded, but basically if you apply to Yale and you want to use your SATs (as opposed to ACTs), you need to send the scores from EVERY SAT test you’ve taken. I just think that taking it 4 times could make you look either obsessive or paranoid about admission (not saying that you are, but taking the test 4 times is a little much, if you ask me).

May I ask what your CR+M score is? For top colleges, the score out of 1600 often matters a lot more than the score out of 2400.

Thank you everyone.
My 1600 score is 1520
740 cr
760 wr
780 math
Also I have already taken 6 subject tests 3 of which are 770, 790, and 800 so I think I may just focus on apps instead of standardized tests thank you again!

Yeah. Unless you’re Asian male a 2280 is enough.

@klavs97 That’s great - usually they want to see 1450+. Your score out of 1600 is more impressive than your already great out-of-2400 score. You’ll be fine.
