Taking SAT four times

I was planning on taking the SAT three times or fewer, depending on when I got the score I wanted. First time, above 2000. Second time, just below 2200. Third time, I was sick and didn't do as well as I wanted...ended with the same score as my second test. Fourth time was the charm, as I got 2300+.

How is this going to look to colleges that don't accept score choice? Half of the colleges I am applying to use score choice; the other half do not.

Everything else is good...GPA, class rigor, SAT II's, EC's, ect...it's just the four SAT tests that stand ou.

Wow you got a 2200 and you are retaking?..

I got a 1580 and im strugging to prepare for the oct 1st date… :(

As long as the rest of your application is fine, it should not hurt much. The only school which I know is notorious for picking out applicants because of their obsession w/ SAT is Yale. But then again, if all the other aspects of your application are outstanding, you should be fine. Now start worrying about those supplements! :)

Colleges would not Superscore if they frowned on taking the SAT multiple times. If they really like the rest of your application they are looking for reasons to accept you (without lowering their own rankings, on which average SAT is a factor) not reasons to deny.
