SAT good enough for Wharton?

I just got my SAT scores back. I got a 2300 (750 CR 800 M 750 W 10 Essay). Is it necessary for me to retake the SAT for Wharton? I have heard different thresholds as to when Ivies start viewing scores as equal, from 2200, 2250, and 2300, which is why I am not sure how much retaking will benefit me. And should I still take the ACT?

Your score is fine as is. There’s no need to take the ACT, but make sure to take SAT Subject Tests. I’d recommend taking Math II (given you got an 800 in the math section on the SAT, I would think you’re capable of taking and doing well on Math II instead of Math I) and then one or two others in subjects that you consider yourself to be strong in (e.g. a science class, history or language).

2300+ is competitive for Wharton.

Harvard’s admit rate is less than Wharton. One poll said their avg SAT is 2288. So your 2300 is “good enough” but so are many other students’ scores. If you’re eventually rejected, it’ll not be because your scores were deficient but one of the other “soft” evaluative factors. Congrats on a great score and good luck to you.

I got in unhooked with the same SAT score, you’re fine. To T26E4, where did you see that the Wharton admit rate is lower than Harvard’s? As far as I know Penn has not officially released a statistic for Wharton in many many years.
