While the consensus here is that ~10% are admitted to Wharton, there is no word on SAT averages.

Any educated guesses / relevant information? What do you think the 25th-75th percentile ranges are? Maybe 700-800 in each subject?

the average SAT is 1440 according to Business Week. keep in mind wharton has a disproportionate number of the athletes/developmentals/legacies

For Wharton I would recommend 700+ for CR and Math (higher the math the better) and 2200+ SAT total. For the ACT, I’d say 34+. Of course, scores are more flexible for certain cases as stated above.

1440 really? lower than I expected. How recent is that data?

Also, why does Wharton have a disproportionate number of the athletes/developmentals/legacies?

So in your opinions, where would a 750 Math, 720 CR, 720 W place relevant to the rest of the class? Slightly below average AKA “legacy/athlete turf”?

With those numbers you will probably not be rejected because of your score. Alongside that good SAT CR+M, you will need the leadership Wharton thirsts for. I feel it’s the soft factors that make it one of those difficult programs to predict.

Also, the 1440 figure is fairly recent, but does anyone know how BusinessWeek gets the number? Because Penn doesn’t release individual school figures.

They probably called and asked.
